Why was i invited to join the society?
You were recognized as a student of excellence based on GPA and nominated by one of your professors. Our chapter is here to help you remain successful and to further encourage growth.
Are there any costs?
Society members pay a one-time registration fee of $95 when applying to join the organization. The fee includes all membership benefits, partner discounts and a lifetime membership. This payment will make you a pre-inducted member.
After completing my online registration, what comes next?
You come to our TAMU chapter events and meet your fellow members! We will guide you step by step through the induction process and then we will present you with your induction package and celebrate your achievement at our biannual induction ceremony.
How do i become an inducted member for the TAMU Chapter?
The steps that you need to complete to be officially inducted into the Society of Leadership are:
- Orientation
- Leadership Training Day
- Three speaker broadcast events
- Three Success Networking Team meetings
what is the induction package?
Once you have completed all of your induction steps, we award you a certificate for achievement, a society t-shirt, a society pin, and a car decal. This will be presented to you at our induction ceremony to celebrate your hard work! You can also buy an additional plaque to accentuate your certificate as well as a variety of society accessories on the national online store. Stoles can also be purchased or earned through chapter leadership involvement.
How long is the induction process?
We are all busy students and understand that flexibility differs between everyone. For that reason, we offer all of our induction steps at least twice a year. As a chapter member, you are free to complete the process over your own preferred time span but most members find they can complete all of the requirements in a semester. What are some of the benefits of getting inducted into the society?
When you join some organizations, the information you receive focuses on the material, tangible benefits you receive from membership. A t-shirt, certificate and other goods are nice side benefits, but are definitely not the real value you gain from achieving membership in The National Society of Leadership and Success.
The intangibles that you gain from membership will drive your future and establish you as a leader among your peers, and include: improved self-esteem, peer leadership skills, sustainable motivation and drive, paradigms that will help you discover and achieve your dreams, real world skills that will help you outperform your peers in the workplace, and an enviable network of aggies that are all a part of the drive to create lasting positive change in the world.

I noticed the title "sigma alpha pi" for the chapter. is the society a fraternity?
No, we have greek letters because we are a nationally recognized honors society.
How do i find the society scholarships and awards?

How to submit a snt report?
After the meeting, each team member is fill out the form on https://www.societyleadership.org/.
It is located in "Members Area".
Under "MY MEMBERSHIP", select "SNT MEETINGS".
Then under "SCHEDULE & SUBMIT YOUR SNTS", select "RESOURCES, VIDEOS AND SUBMISSIONS".
Finally, select the "SUBMIT A NEW SNT REPORT" tab for the form to complete.
It is located in "Members Area".

i attended the event, but my member status has not been updated?
If you paid before attending orientation, your status within the next few days following the event will be updated.
If you did not pay, then there would be delays due to your name not appearing on the list to assign credit to. Regardless, it takes a few days for the status to be updated. If a week has passed since the event and there is still no update, then please email the President. Email address is [email protected]

What is the online chapter?
In response to many students that have had challenges attending events on-campus, we have developed an Online Chapter. The Online Chapter is the same as the program at local campuses, except that you do not have to attend events in person - it can all be completed online at your convenience. In addition, rather than a campus advisor, you will be coached by an Advisor at the National Office.
Participating in this program will enable you to receive the benefits you envisioned when you first signed up for the NSLS: leadership training from the nation's top speakers and authors, personalized success coaching, impressive resume building and much more. It will also enable you to take a break when you need to do so, and proceed at your own pace through the program as you manage the personal challenges that can arise.
The National Society of Leadership and Success Online Chapter Steps to Membership:

Leadership Training Day: Link to online video followed by workbook questions and exercises.
Three Speaker Broadcasts: Links to view three videos online followed by questions.
Three Success Networking Team Meetings: Members create a team from their personal or professional network in order to complete this step. A group of family, friends, or coworkers are needed to hold members accountable and offer feedback during this process. Members will work independently on accomplishing goals, and will submit bi-weekly goal write-ups discussing their goals, action steps and progress. As with campus SNTs, participants may receive coaching prior to their submission being accepted.
